Getting
Started: A Handbook for Schools and Support Services Framework for Intervention is a system which OFSTED identified as making a significant contribution to the development of improved behaviour and a positive ethos in schools. Based on work in over three hundred schools, Getting Started shows how to develop and maintain consistent and effective systems, which result in improvements in behaviour and achievement. Framework for Intervention also provides: a structure for working with behaviour problems; a preventative approach designed to ensure early action; full involvement for the person raising the concern. |

Framework for InterventionGetting Started in the Early Years- 2nd Edition This extensively researched resource was devised following the development of a large project undertaken by Birmingham LEA, which was aimed at improving childrens behaviour. Using information gained from Early Years settings and casework, the resource was devised and written by practitioners from support services. The process can be started by students raising a concern about an issue and using the framework with a supporting adult, or by an adult who views the framework as a way to find a solution to difficulties an individual or group is experiencing. |
