| Extend the KS3 Strategy to include a pupil audit | |
Framework has developed a pupil
package for KS3 which can supplement the behaviour and attendance strand of the
KS3 and SEAL strategy.
'Framework for Pupils' provides a methodology and materials for a pupil audit of their own 'behavioural environment'. Pupils are encouraged to look at many of the areas covered in the teachers' audit, and make their own plans for improvement. Piloting has shown that students like the activity and take it very seriously. Teachers have reported that the resulting plans have often been inventive and have a high motivation element towards improvement in the behaviour of all. This work dovetails perfectly with SEAL work in secondary schools to increase the degree of students' pro-social behaviours, and to develop awareness and responsibility for their own environments. |
