Beautiful
weather and a great conference!
Framework's Norwegian partners at Lillegarden Centre in Porsgrunn will go ahead with national proposals following a favourable evaluation report announced at the International Conference in Stavern, southern Norway. In beautiful late spring weather, delegates heard from schools around Norway, about continuing and developing work in Scotland, and from the work continuing in Birmingham. Teachers and members of support services heard about the evaluation from University College of Hedmark which showed high levels of approval and success in the pilot areas. Professor Harry Daniels from University of Bath described the research base pointing to the need for ecologically-based approaches to behaviour and social relationships. He described Framework (Fin Stil in Norway) as a core basis for the most effective and long lasting approaches to behaviour in schools. A fuller PDF account of the conference can be dowloaded here. The official conference report is published on the Fin Stil site.
