Behavioural Environment Checklist

The Behaviour Environment Checklist is a crucial part of the Framework process. Teachers who are concerned about their students' behaviour will be asked to go through it, to indicate where they think their teaching environment has strengths, and where it needs developing.

The Sample checklist shows the range of this checking - from school management to the teachers' view of their own conduct of the class. But it is crucial that this checklist is only used to help teachers devise their own plans to improve the environment. The checklist is not another form of Inspection !

The full Checklists are available from the Framework for Intervention Office on +44 (0)121 464 1391. More details about the Checklist and its use and more examples can be read in the free to download paper: "Introduction to Framework" (PDF format)
